It doesn't matter what you say.
Your argument is futile.
Harry Potter is the greatest book ever written.
I had finished my latest book: Pillars of the Earth.
I needed something new to read.
But I couldn't decide on a book.
So naturally, I went to the greatest book ever written: Harry Potter.
I made it my summer challenge to reread the whole series.
Well, I didn't finish.
But I'm halfway through the sixth..
Anywho, it truly is the greatest series ever written.
For several reasons...
One: It's not just a children's book.
This book is for all ages, all genders, all races, all backgrounds.
Everyone can read it
Two: It's teaches great life lessons.
Harry Potter is all about courage, loyalty, wisdom, perseverence, hope, strength, friendship, love, and so much more.
It's not about whiney teen drama.
It's not about sex.
It's about real life matters.
Three: It is full of wisdom.
I always loved the books when I was little.
But rereading them has brought a whole new perspective to things.
I had never really realized before just how deep the messages in Harry Potter are.
And let's face it: Dumbledore knows what he's talking about...
"Death is but the next great adventure."
“It is a curious thing, but perhaps those who are best suited to power are those who have never sought it. Those who have leadership thrust upon them, and take up the mantle because they must, and find to their own surprise that they wear it well.”
"Dark times lay ahead of us, and there will come a time where we will have to choose between what is easy and what is right."
"It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."
"Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."
"We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided."
"There are all kinds of courage. It takes a great deal of courage to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends."
"Voldemort himself created his own worst enemy, just as tyrants everywhere do! Have you any idea how much tyrants fear the people they oppress?"
I mean, come on.
So much to learn.
So wise.
So inspiring.
How can you not love the messages this book sends.
It's so far beyond magic and spells and fantasy.
It's so far beyond magic and spells and fantasy.
It's about life.
Everything life throws at us, and growing through life to become the best people we can be.
And fourth but not least:
Harry Potter has it's own theme park.
Enough proof yet?
