Houses, iPads, and Textbooks

Oofda it's been a while since I've last written...

So let's see...what's been shakin'...

Well, Thomas and I have been working with a realtor and a mortgage agent to get this house hunting rolling.
Our realtor is John Kane.
He's really nice.
It's the same guy his parents went through when they moved here from England.
We have to finish some paperwork to submit to the mortgage to get our preapproval for a loan before we can actually start shopping for a house and putting offers on ones we like.
I just have to get some paperwork from Wellsfargo for my loans then we get cracking.
But it's not looking too good.
The guy (I don't even know his name because Thomas has been talking to him) says it might be hard for us to get approved because of Tom's job and our school loans.
With only me working fulltime, it might not work out.
*Le sigh*
Well, if that's the case, it'll be another year before we can start house shopping.
There is always renting an apartment, but we {really} don't want to rent if we don't have to...
But then again, I did get a promotion at work, with a pay raise, and maybe, just maybe, when all is said and done, we will get approved, no probs. We'll just have to see!

So work...
Yeah, I got a promotion!
Holla!
I am very very very excited about it.
Well, I knew it was coming because it's kinda the position I applied for, I just needed to be trained in first,
but the exciting part is that I got bumped up a couple months earlier than anticipated.
Woot!
So now I am the Lead Teacher of the Wobbler room!
It is mine to run! Yay!
I get to do all the teachery stuff, like their assessments, anecdotals, goals, monthly newsletters to the parents, activities and decorations that coordinate with the monthly theme, daily notes to the parents, all sorts of fun stuff!
I am excited!
Another awesome part??
The director for YBR gave me an ipad for my classroom!
I had been trying to convince Thomas that being a Lead Teacher meant that an ipad was a necessity for me to have to use in my classroom, but I was having a hard time convincing him...
And the director gave me her old one!
She said it's all mine to do whatever I please with, until I leave YBR, then I gotta give it back.
I am ecstatic!
So I've already got flashcards, songs, and games for the kiddies!
And of course Scrabble for myself... :)
I am very excited and loving my job more and more.
The best part of my job?
All the random, awesome, hugs the kids give throughout the day.
LOVE IT.

Thomas' fourth semester started on Thursday!
Just one more semester to go after this one.
He is loving his classes and the college.

Life is good.
