Much Needed Energy Boost!!

This weekend was amazing. Amazingly perfect. And gave me a [much] needed energy boost. I feel completely and totally revitalized and ready to tackle this last week of classes!

It started off with Tom's family. Oh how I {heart} that family!! Matthew and Keira, as always, tackled me as soon as I arrived. Well, they were outside playing with friends, so they clawed at my car until I got out, then proceeded to tackle me with hugs and kisses and squeals. Oh I love those little ones!! Talked much with Lesley about Thomas' return!! We talked about arranging a surprise for him when he comes - I am going to meet him and the family at the Stake Center when he goes to get released, but he won't know it. He will think we won't be seeing each other until the following day! :) OH! And the family received his flight information on Saturday! He will be flying from Idaho to Colorado to MINNESOTA, landing at the airport at 1:30pm Wednesday, June 8!! Ahhhh you guys, it all feels SO REAL finally!! He's coming HOOOOME!! HOME! Oh man, I cannot believe this time is here.

Can you believe it?? 5%!! Oh my goodness!! 37 days!! Oooh man I just can't believe how close it is. Time truly has flown. That is for dang sure!

So not only was a great weekend in the Thomas department, but it was in the family department too. I had a lovely dinner date with my parents at Texas Roadhouse on Saturday. mmmm....one of my favorite places!! Then Sunday was my cousin Mallory's bridal shower!! WOOT! It was SO much fun! I can't believe she is getting married in just 2 months! But I am soo happy for her and so incredibly excited for the wedding. I'm a bridesmaid in the wedding, along with our two other cousins, Cass & Jenn. Her best friend Amanda is the Maid of Honor. Together we are one fun bunch of girls!! Can't wait for all the upcoming parties and events we get to go to together!

In addition to those two wonderful events, it was the Residence Life End of the Year Banquet tonight! Oooh what good times!! I love my staff, I love everyone I work with. I just freakin' love my job. I can't believe it's over. I can't believe my life in Residence Life has come to an end. It's been an incredibly wonderful four years of involvement. This job has changed my life and given me thousands of memories I will forever hold in my heart. It was a bittersweet night. It made me soo happy to see everyone together and to have so much fun, but my heart was breaking. Two weeks - that's all I have left of this life. That's all the more I get as the Hall Manager of Prucha, with my wonderful RA staff and my residents - my babies!! So tonight I am cramming, probably pulling an all-nighter, in the hopes of finishing ALL my assignments for the semester so the rest of the semester I can focus on spending time with my girls...oh, and of course finals exams. :P

Oh yes, and the final awesome piece of news? Osama Bin Laden is dead. It seems very surreal right now...I've got the news on right now, and I'm listening to everything, but I don't think it's really hit me yet. President Obama just spoke - he made me so incredibly proud to be an American. I thought his address was wonderful. Perfect. Today is a good day for the world.

And this weekend, well, this weekend was a great weekend for me. :)
